Parametric Hub - Website

Novatr Parametric Hub is an open-access learning platform designed to make Rhino3D command learning simple, structured, and intuitive for architecture and computational design students. Rhino has a steep learning curve, and most learners rely on scattered YouTube tutorials, dense documentation, or peer guidance to understand what each command does and when to use it. This leads to confusion, slower modeling skills, and inconsistent learning experiences.

The project began when Ar. Kanwaljeet Singh, our subject matter expert in computational design, identified a recurring gap in how students understood and applied Rhino commands. He approached me with the problem, and together we shaped the direction of the solution. While Kanwaljeet clarified the modeling workflows and command logic from an SME perspective, I led the research, product strategy, information architecture, wireframing, and the complete Framer build of the MVP.

To address the problem, we designed the Rhino Command Explorer, a responsive web experience that brings all commands, SME-approved categories, clear visuals, difficulty indicators, examples, and short explainer videos into a single accessible place.

Over six months, this collaborative effort resulted in a calm, learner-friendly interface that reduces cognitive load, improves command clarity, and supports beginners in building strong modeling fundamentals.

This project now forms the foundation for Novatr’s broader Open Studio initiative, helping learners understand Rhino faster and more confidently while giving curriculum teams a unified reference for consistent teaching.
